After travelling extensively throughout Canada, Ron Taylor, founder of Pinecone Log Homes, recognised that there were very few truly high-quality, sustainable log homes available in the UK and Europe. Despite growing interest in timber construction, there remained a clear gap in the market for technologically advanced log homes that combined luxury, durability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance.
Driven by a lifelong passion for engineering and sustainable building methods, Ron undertook extensive research into the global log home industry. That search ultimately led to True North Log Homes — widely recognised as a global leader in log home technology, innovation, and manufacturing quality.
Established in Ontario, Canada, in 1986, True North Log Homes began as a small family-run business and has since grown into one of the world’s most respected log home manufacturers. Through continual innovation, patented construction systems, and uncompromising quality standards, True North has become internationally recognised for creating some of the most technologically advanced log home systems in the world.
Today, True North is a multi-award-winning company, receiving international recognition for excellence in design, manufacturing, and global innovation. Since 2004, we have proudly served as independent authorised representatives of True North Log Homes Inc., developing residential homes, commercial buildings, community facilities, and leisure developments throughout the UK and Europe.
